Warner Bros. Can't Find a Director For JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK Because They've Been Underwhelmed

Warner Bros. is moving forward with a lot of DC film projects, but as of right now Justice League Dark is not one of them. The studio is currently in different stages of development on Aquaman, The Flash, the Justice League films, Green Lantern Corps, Cyborg, Batgirl, Shazam!, The Batman, a Joker origin film, Suicide Squad 2, Gotham City Sirens, Wonder Woman 2, and a Joker/Harley Quinn movie.

One film that has been in development hell over the years has been Justice League Dark. That whole project was started when Guillermo del Toro was working on it. He ultimately dropped out, though. Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow) was the most recent director attached but he also ended up dropping out due to creative differences. Since then the studio has been meeting with directors to take on the project.

Unfortunately, Warner Bros. has been underwhelmed by the pitches that they've gotten from the directors they've met with and according to Justin Kroll from Variety, the studio is going back to the drawing board on the script.

They've had no problems finding directors for their other projects, but for some reason, Justice League Dark is proving to be difficult. I have no idea why, but I do have a solution. They just need to bring Del Toro back and let him do what he wanted to do in the first place! Justice League Dark is the kind of film with the kind of characters that would allow Del Toro's talents to shine!

I know they won't do that, but it's an option they should at least consider. I'd just love to see what Del Toro would do with these characters! Are their any diretors that you would like to see come in and take a crack at making the movie?
