Warner Bros. Discovery Cancels The DC FanDome Virtual Event in Favor Of In-Person Events

Warner Bros. Discovery has canceled its DC FanDome virtual fan event, which launched in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic to celebrate all things DC. I never actually thought that DC FanDome would be permanent and the new studio leadership is looking to get things back to the in-person events, which makes sense.

In a statement from DC, they say: " With the return of in-person events, Warner Bros. Discovery is excited to be able to engage with our fans live at numerous comic-cons around the world and will not be scheduling DC FanDome for 2022."

This summer, WB brought Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the Gods to San Diego Comic-Con and they are also set to attend New York Comic Con in October.

I’m all for the in-person events, but I’m sure some fans will be disappointed that DC FanDome will not be continuing. Regardless, you’ll always be able to find the updated DC movie news here on GeekTyrant.
