Warner Bros. Picks Up New Sci-Fi Project RAINBOWFISH: A SCUMBAG'S GUIDE TO STEALING WATER, TRAVERSING WORMHOLES AND BREAKING EVERY RULE

Warner Bros. has picked up the rights to a short story titled Rainbowfish: A Scumbag’s Guide to Stealing Water, Traversing Wormholes and Breaking Every Rule. The sci-fi story comes from Neil Paik and the studio will adapt it into a feature film.

The story takes place in “a borderless future when the oceans have all but disappeared and the elusive Global Police enforces tyrannical laws. Their lives and that of a young water scavenger and a rebellious orphan collide in the most unexpected way.”

This certainly sounds like it will be an ambitious project. Paik will adapt his own short story for the screen. He previously directed, wrote and produced short films such as City of Sin, The Doctor of Bagram, and The Lost. Charles D. King’s MACRO will be producing the project.
