First Look Photo of Margot Robbie in BARBIE as Well as the Film's Release Date
Warner Bros. has released a first look photo of Margot Robbie in her live-action Barbie movie. Robbie is producing the film as well as starring alongside Ryan Gosling, who is playing Ken, Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Alexandra Shipp, Issa Rae, and Ritu Arya, among others.
The film is being directed by Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird, Little Women), with a script co-written by Gerwig and her partner, Noah Baumbach. This project has been in the works for several years, delayed by the pandemic, and is now moving full steam ahead. We still don’t have a synopsis, but with the photo and release date given at this week’s Cinema-Con panel, I bet we will hear something soon.
