Warner Brothers Developing Live Action JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE Film
Anime fans, hold on to your hats: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is getting a legitimate live-action film! Variety reports that Japanese studio Toho has teamed up with Warner Bros. to make a live-action adaptation of the popular manga and anime series. The film will focus on the "Diamond Is Unbreakable" storyline with an older Jotaro and Josuke.
If you've never seen the series, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is about a family born with the ability to combat evil dating all the way back to the rivalry of Jonathan JoStar and his adopted brother Dio Brando.
To make a long story short, both brothers battle to the death, and Dio finds this weird mask that makes him immortal. Thus begins a long sequence of events that spans several generations across the JoStar family.
The last time I watched the show Jotaro was a teen, and in this film he will be an older man. I can't vouch personally for this half of the series, but I do like the Rock references the show constantly makes and the way the story progresses.
No word as to whether this film will see an American theater release. I would assume no, but we all know what assuming does.
One thing I do know is that the ending credits better have YES.
