I don't know about you, but I'm pumped up for Guy Ritchie's King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. I think it looks like it's gonna be an incredibly fun flick. I love what I've seen in the trailers and today we have nine clips from the film for you to watch with a total of over 10-minutes of footage. What I like about watching clips for movies is that they give you a great sense of what the movie will be like without all the bells and whistles of a trailer. I've been a fan of Ritchie's film work since Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. It's so cool to see how far he's come since then, and he continues to make great movies that tend to entertain the hell out of me. I love that he's bringing his unique film-making style to the legend of King Arthur.
The film is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne. When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern, Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword stars The movie Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen, and Eric Bana. It's set to hit theaters on May 12th.
