For those of you looking to inject some cool and fun Star Wars greatness into your life today, I’ve got a 1977 documentary that you have to watch. It’s called The Making of Star Wars… as Told C-3PO and R2-D2.

The doc starts out with footage of the two droids putting their footprints in cement at the legendary Chinese Theater in Hollywood and then it goes to them talking about the making of the film. There’s some great behind-the-scenes rehearsal footage, and it also discusses the career of George Lucas and includes interview with the director talking about what inspired him to want to make Star Wars. The video also goes into how the special effects were created.

The video has been around for while, but I don’t recall ever seeing it. If you’ve never seen it either, it’s worth checking out! If you have seen it, then it might be worth revisiting. There’s a lot of cool stuff packed into this doc that you don’t want to miss out on!

The documentary crew also spoke with actors Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Alec Guinness. Check out the doc below and let us know what you think!
