Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots are now real! Unitree’s G1 humanoid robots have officially entered the ring for the first-ever robot kickboxing tournament, and it’s pretty freakin’ wild!

Controlled remotely by human operators outside the ropes, these bipedal machines squared off to throw real punches, kicks, and knees in a no-holds-barred battle of tech and tactics.

Equal parts martial arts spectacle and cutting-edge technology demo, this Robo-Rumble seems like the start of what we saw in Hugh Jackman’s sci-fi movie Real Steel.
