Watch Dwayne Johnson Sign His Biggest Movie Contract Ever with JUNGLE CRUISE

I’m shocked. Dwayne Johnson posted information about a movie and the video he made was not in the gym. In this post, Johnson talked about how he was going to sign (the pen was out of ink) his biggest contract to date for the film Jungle Cruise. This is the latest Disney film about a popular attraction at a Disney theme park. The idea may sound dumb, but Pirates of the Caribbean was a huge hit and that was based on a theme park attraction, too. I’m willing to give this movie a shot. Of course, I find it really interesting how Johnson has had the goal of starring in a movie about a Disney ride. I never would've thought that was one of his acting goals.

Think I had an out of body, “holy shit this is really happening” moment lol. 15yrs ago when I saw the first trailer for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN I was blown away and so inspired. I was just starting my acting career at that time and thought man one day if I could make a movie based off an iconic and beloved Disney ride - that took audiences on that kind of vintage adventure and fun, it’d be a dream come true. Johnson will star alongside Emily Blunt, Jesse Plemons, Paul Giamatti, Edgar Ramirez, and Jack Whitehall. Jaume Collet-Serra will direct the film and the script was penned by Glenn Ficarra, Michael Green, and John Requa. No release date has been announced, but I wouldn’t be surprised by an early 2020 or maybe even a late 2019 release. Are you excited for the film? Have you been on the Jungle Cruise ride?
