Watch Elton John and ROCKETMAN Star Taron Egerton Perform "Tiny Dancer" Together

With the Elton John biopic, Rocketman, coming out this year we’ve seen a lot of promotion for it and recently shared a new trailer giving us our best look yet at the film. Today we’ve got a new video to share with you that fans might be interested in watching as it features Elton John himself performing his classic song “Tiny Dancer” with the man who plays him in the film, Taron Egerton, who actually does a good good job performing it!

The performance took place during an auction, wherein Elton welcomed Egerton on the stage to perform the song. Check out the performance below and let us know what you think!

During the auction Elton welcomed to the stage actor Taron Egerton, star of the upcoming motion picture film, ROCKETMAN; an epic musical fantasy about the incredible human story of Elton John.

Rocketman has been described as, "a biographical musical fantasy that will weave together John’s life and his music." The story will follow his emergence as a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music to become a music superstar "who rebelled against his strict upbringing, wore outrageous costumes and became a global icon who teamed with songwriter Bernie Taupin to sell more records than just about any musical artist of his era."

Dexter Fletcher (Bohemian Rhapsody) is attached to helm the project from a script written by Lee Hall. Egerton will be joined by Jamie Bell (TURN: Washington’s Spies), Richard Madden (Game of Thrones), and Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom). When previously talking about the film, the director said:

“It’s a musical fantasy, not a biopic. We have Elton’s songs and Elton’s life story, or a part of it. And it is a fantasy version of real life. It is a true fantasy. So I am looking to create something that will entertain and inform and amaze and do many, many things.”

Rocketman hits theaters on May 31, 2019.
