Watch Guillermo Del Toro and Hideo Kojima Discuss Storytelling, Collaborating, and More

Fans were extremely excited for the Silent Hills video game project that was being developed by Guillermo Del Toro and Hideo Kojima. Unfortunately, Konami decided to cancel the damn thing, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see a project from these two talents sometime in the future. They want to work together on something, and one day we’ll see a collaboration of theirs come to life. In a previous interview with Wired, Del Toro said, “I’ll do whatever the fuck he wants. Whatever he says, I’ll do.”

While we wait for that, here is a 48-minute discussion between them that was conducted at the D.I.C.E. Summit, which is an annual conference for video-game executives. In it, they talk about storytelling and their plans to collaborate with one another.
