Watch: John Boyega's Screen Test and More Footage From STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Documentary

Disney and Lucasfilm have just sent over a clip from the new documentary Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey that debuted today at the SXSW Film Festival. J.J. Abrams and R2-D2 made a special appearance in Austin to introduce the feature-length doc, which will be available for all fans to see as a bonus feature on the home video release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Here's the official clip, but immediately below that one, you can see a video from Good Morning America that has this footage intercut with some bits that didn't make it into the official tease, including a snippet of John Boyega auditioning to play Finn:

Get a first look at The Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey, an in-depth documentary on the making of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and one of the many special features included on the upcoming Digital HD (available April 1) and Blu-ray Combo Pack (available April 5) releases.

I'm really looking forward to watching all of the moving pieces of how the finished film came together. To see a quick clip setting up the first table read of the script, click here. Secrets of The Force Awakens will arrive as a special feature on Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack on April 5.
