Watch Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha Fight Majin Buu in This Fan-Made Stop Motion Video
I’m a sucker for stop motion animation. I also enjoy some good Dragon Ball content. Then I saw this great video from counter656 on YouTube (via Geeks are Sexy), and I had a blast.
The video took the team roughly 20 days and 2000 pictures to create and features Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha fighting Majin Buu. Keep in mind, this is long-haired Yamcha, so not exactly accurate for timeframes, but it’s Yamcha, so who cares?
The video is all in Japanese so I’m not sure what’s being said, but it is fun to watch. The landscape is made of cardboard boxes and the effects are fantastic.
The only thing that bothered me was how smooth the effects seemed to be as they were added in post-production and therefore vastly smoother than the stop motion of the action figures used. It created a bit of a disconnect for me at times.
Other than that, this was a lot of fun to watch, especially since I really love watching non-Saiyans fight.
