Watch: Mario Gets Angry in Live-Action DONKEY KONG Short Film

The Disney animated movie Wreck-It Ralph was sort of a twist on the classic Donkey Kong video game, and the ape showed up onscreen in last year's Pixels, but other than that, he hasn't really had much representation outside the world of consoles.

Now YouTuber MyNameIsBanks has put together a homemade fan film about a gritty, angry Mario participating in the game's level structure in order to rescue the princess. It's pretty cool, and includes a few first-person POV shots that give us a fresh perspective on the game we all know so well. But the coolest part is the making-of video at the very bottom of the page, where he shows off the tremendous amount of work that went into making this video. What do you think?
