Watch Michael Rooker Hilariously Fall Asleep and Start Snoring During a Pivotal Scene in GUARDIANS VOL. 2
Director James Gunn recently shared a blooper outtake from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and it features Michael Rooker falling asleep and snoring during a very important scene in the movie. I can't really talk about it without revealing a major spoiler, so stop reading now if you haven't seen this movie yet!
In the scene, Chris Pratt is trying to deliver a heart felt eulogy to Yondu who died in the process of saving him. There's no doubt the scene had some of you in tears. Well, right in the middle of shooting the eulogy scene Michael Rooker, who is laying down on a table, starts snoring.
What's interesting is everyone is keeping their cool. No one is busting up laughing at the situation. They are all in just such a mourning and sad mode that they don't want to break the heavy mood in the scene that they are trying to shoot.
When talking about the scene, James Gun says:
"This was going on constantly while we were trying to shoot this scene, and it is completely real."
"Everyone was crying. It was more uncomfortable than funny in the moment (now it's funny)."
"If he was snoring (he did this many times) I would wake him up. Normally I'd do it loudly making fun of him but Chris was in a very personal and sad and serious space."
Watching the video, it's hard not to laugh. I guess it's a scene that Rooker didn't really need to be awake for anyway. Check it out!
