Watch: New Teaser Trailer For Netflix's LEMONY SNICKET'S A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS Series
Here's an interesting method of advertising: telling you NOT to watch something, in the hopes that you do it anyway. I haven't seen the old reverse psychology utilized in a while, so good on Netflix for mixing things up a bit with this new teaser for their upcoming TV adaptation of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.
Patrick Warburton appears in character as Lemony Snicket, the narrator of the eight-episode season, and we hear a quick bit of dialogue from Neil Patrick Harris's Count Olof in the background before discovering the Friday the 13th release date for the show, which arrives on January 13, 2017. What do you think about this teaser?
A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tale of the orphaned children Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire at the hands of the villainous Count Olaf, as they face trials and tribulations, misfortunes, and an evil uncle in search of their fortune, all in their quest to uncover the secret of their parents’ death. The books have sold more than 65 million copies and have been translated into 43 languages. The epic series will be executive produced by Barry Sonnenfeld, who will also direct a number of episodes, and Daniel Handler, legal, literary and social representative for Lemony Snicket. [Handler is actually the writer of the successful book series. — Ed.]
