Watch Robert Downey Jr. Work at Finding the Right Emotion for His Iconic Line in AVENGERS: ENDGAME
I’ve got a cool behind-the-scenes video from the set of Avengers: Endgame that features Robert Downey Jr. working at trying to find the right emotion for one of his iconic lines in the movie.
As you’ll see, the actor is reciting and practicing the line “Whatever it takes,” and it shows him doing this twice before getting into the zone and moving into the rest of his dialogue. You can tell he just really wanted nail this dialogue and get it right, and in the end, he pulled it off brilliantly.
Tony Stark made the ultimate sacrifice in Endgame and the lead up to that moment needed to be perfect. Downey Jr. was great to watch as Stark in the Marvel films, but he definitely gave his best performance in Endgame.
