Watch Ryan Reynolds' Maximum Effort Retro Ads That Aired on ABC's FACTS OF LIFE and DIFF'RENT STROKES Live Special
If you caught Tuesday night’s presentation of ABC’s Live in Front of a Studio Audience, which showed live productions of the classic TV series Facts of Life and Diff’rent Strokes, you probably caught the classic TV commercial spoofs that aired during the show breaks.
They featured Alfonso Ribero doing takes on the famous Brooke Shields Calvin Klein commercial, which was turned into an Oscar Meier ad, as well as a Kool-Aid commercial featuring Bob Villa, and a “this is your brain on drugs” after-school special type. There’s also a ketchup soap opera, and a hilarious Jack in the Box commercial featuring Flashdance star Jennifer Beals.
As it turns out, we can thank host Jimmy Kimmel’s production team, as well as Ryan Reynolds’ production company, Maximum Effort, for bringing us those fun ads. Reynolds tweeted about the gig and included the commercials in his post below. Check them out, and enjoy!
