Watch SMASH AND GRAB, Pixar's Latest Short Film in SparkShorts Series

Here’s a fun treat for your mid-week. Pixar has released the second film in its SparkShorts series we reported on a few weeks ago, that you can read up on here.

Smash and Grab is about two robots who decide to break out of the factory where they work to set out on a life of their own. It’s great animation and a fun little story that reminds me of Wall-E from a different perspective.

The first film in the series that was released is Purl, and it is about a little pink ball of yarn who goes to work at a male-centric company, in a male-dominated office, where she’s just trying to fit in. You can watch that here.

The results are sweet. Both films are about being brave and living your best life. I really enjoyed them both and can’t wait to see the other films in the series. Watch them both below and let us know which one is your favorite in the comments.

Smash and Grab, directed by Brian Larsen and produced by David Lally, is about two antiquated robots who risk everything for freedom and for each other after years of toiling away inside the engine room of a towering locomotive. More #SparkShorts are coming to Disney+ in 2019.
