Watch Some Cool Unused 1989 Stop-Motion Footage of Godzilla Battling The Kaiju Biollante

For those of you who are Godzilla fans, I’ve got something pretty cool for you to check out today! Some unused stop-motion footage from the 1989 film Godzilla Vs. Biollante has surfaced showing the two giant kaiju creatures locked in battle. This footage was lost after having ended up on the cutting room floor, but it has since been found to watch and enjoy.

It’s pretty cool seeing this footage and being reminded of the kind of talented work that went into creating the earlier Godzilla films. For those of you not familiar with Biollante, the monster is the result of merging the DNA of a flower, a human, and Godzilla himself into one beast. The creature only appeared once in the franchise as Godzilla destroyed him with his fire breath. It was a bizarre creature, but one that might be fun to explore in a future Godzilla movie.
