Watch Some Outtakes of Joaquin Phoenix in THE JOKER When He's Introduced on "The Murray Franklin Show"

Director Todd Phillips’ The Joker took audiences on quite a manic journey. With a sequel coming, I thought I’d revisit the film and noticed one of the special features offered some outtakes of Joaquin Phoenix trying out some different ways to play the character during the scene when he’s introduced on “The Murray Franklin Show”. Phillips says in the video:

“What I like about Joaquin is his style and his unpredictability, which I  had felt fits into this character. And he was just never locked into one thing. I think he is the most talked-about nimble nimble actor I’ve ever worked with. Certainly he just doesn’t get stuck in anything.”

Whether or not you loved the film or hated it, the movie was a huge success and Phoenix delivered an incredible and memorable performance. You can watch the outtakes in the video below. It’s interesting to see some of the things that were going through his mind as he was shooting this particular scene.
