Watch: STRANGER THINGS Reimagined as an '80s Sitcom

Because Netflix's Stranger Things debuted during the madness that was this year's San Diego Comic-Con, I haven't had time to catch up with the whole series yet. I just finished the fifth episode, and it's been awesome so far. The music, the characters, the atmosphere...it's excellent stuff, and if you haven't seen it yet and you're reading this site, there's a very good chance you'll enjoy it. (Read our season one review here.)

As with anything that achieves a certain level of pop culture popularity, the parody videos have started rolling in, and here's one from Tim Bennett that uses footage from the show to pretend it's a sitcom straight out of the '80s. It even has Randy Newman's "Strange Things" playing in the background as an extra bit of on-the-nose winking.

What if Stranger Things was an 80s kids show? With music by Randy Newman.
