Josh Gad has released the final episode of the summer of his fantastically fun web-series Reunited Apart. In this glorious episode, Gad brings together the cast of the classic 1986 movie Ferris Bueller’s Day off.

The reunion virtual special brings together Matthew Broderick (Ferris), Alan Ruck (Cameron), Mia Sara (Sloane), Jennifer Grey (Jeanie), Cindy Pickett (Katie), and Lyman Ward (Tom). Kenny Ortega, who choreographed the iconic Chicago parade, also shows up! Oh, yeah! Ben Stein, Bueller’s teacher in the film who wrote speeches for presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford in his career, joins in in the fun! He actually reveals that much of that infamously boring lesson he was giving in the film was ad-libbed. Jake Gyllenhaal also shows up.

You get to watch the cast share stories and talk about their time on the set of the film. They also reenact a few popular lines from the film to bring some laughs.

There was one interesting bit of information revealed that I wanted to point out. Cindy Picket shared that Ferris and Jeannie were meant to have younger siblings, but they were cut out of the movie! She said:

“If you look in the kitchen scene, their drawings are still on the refrigerator, like these kindergarten drawings. I think it was a little girl and little boy, I think she was older. But yeah, they were cut out.”

I never noticed that before! It’s kind of funny that there were clues to younger siblings in the film that a lot of fans never noticed before! Aside from the children’s drawings on the fridge, there’s also a family photo in Tom Bueller’s office that appears to show two other kids. Crazy!

Anyway, enjoy the Ferris Bueller reunion! Make sure to watch through the end because there’s an awesome tribute to the movies of John Hughes loaded with lots of special guests!
