Watch the Cast of THE LORD OF THE RINGS Reunite on Josh Gad's REUNITED APART
The Fellowship is back together again! Josh Gad recently hosted a cast and crew reunion for The Lord of the Rings on his Reunited Apart web show. The full reunion video has been released online for all of you to watch, and as you might imagine, it’s wonderful and entertaining. It’s so cool seeing the cast of this epic fantasy trilogy come back together to talk about the films after all these years.
Elijah Wood (Frodo Baggins), Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee), Orlando Bloom (Legolas), Dominic Monaghan (Merry Brandybuck), Billy Boyd (Pippin Took), Ian McKellen (Gandalf), Sean Bean (Boromir), Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn), and John Rhys-Davies (Gimli), Peter Jackson, and Philippa Boyens were all present!
That’s not all, though! Andy Serkis (Gollum), Liv Tyler (Arwen), Karl Urban (Eomer), Miranda Otto (Eowyn), and composer Howard Shore all joined in on the fun. Taika Waititi also jumped in to ask some trivia questions. It was a pretty exciting reunion!
The cast and crew shared a few behind-the-scenes memories of shooting the film, one memory of which dealt with how Sean Bean and Orlando Bloom had to stay in a motel after a landslide prevented them from getting to set. Then there’s John Rhys-Davies, who made sure in his contract that he had a lazy boy recliner on set for him to relax in. They shared a story about Christopher Lee saying the food on the set of the films wasn’t as good as the food he got when making Star Wars. There are so many other great stories shared!
Some of the actors also recreated scenes from the movie including Andy Serkis and Sean Astin doing the "boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew” scene which was fun to see! If you’re a fan of The Lord of the Rings, you’re going to love this!
