Watch: The Evolution of 2D Animation
Animation has come a long way since 1833, and this supercut from YouTubers The Solomon Society allows us to trace the evolution of the medium from its most basic form all the way up to 1990. It's like a "greatest hits" compilation for touchstones in animation history, and while a lot of you already know and love many of these individual films, it's still cool to see them stacked up one after another to show the innovation that has pushed the art form forward. (And it's not JUST Disney classics featured here, so that's a nice change of pace.) There's supposed to be a new video coming soon that tackles the years 1990-2017, so keep your eyes peeled for that if you're interested in seeing the complete evolution up to modern day.
