Watch the First Three Wild Minutes of Neil Gaiman's AMERICAN GODS Season 2
Starz has shared some new footage from Neil Gaiman’s American Gods season two with the first three minutes of the fantasy drama. It centers on Mr. World (Crispin Glover) patiently preparing for war with the old deities.
When Shadow Moon is released from prison, he meets the mysterious Mr. Wednesday and a storm begins to brew. Little does Shadow know, this storm will change the course of his entire life. Left adrift by the recent, tragic death of his wife, and suddenly hired as Mr. Wednesday’s bodyguard, Shadow finds himself in the center of a world that he struggles to understand. It’s a world where magic is real, where the Old Gods fear both irrelevance and the growing power of the New Gods, like Technology and Media. Mr. Wednesday seeks to build a coalition of Old Gods to defend their existence in this new America, and reclaim some of the influence that they’ve lost. As Shadow travels across the country with Mr. Wednesday, he struggles to accept this new reality, and his place in it.
Season two will see “Mr. World task Mr. Town with tracking down Shadow (Ricky Whittle, The 100) and finding out what he knows about Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane, Deadwood)’s plan. Town’s methods are brutally efficient and may help him get to the root of his and World’s curious questions.”
American Gods also stars Emily Browning (Sucker Punch) as Laura Moon and Pablo Schreiber (Orange is the New Black) as Mad Sweeney, and Orlando Jones (Sleepy Hollow) as Mr. Nancy.
American Gods will return on Sunday, March 10th, 2019.
