Watch the Moment George Lucas Told Samuel L. Jackson He Might Get a Purple Lightsaber
I’ve got a great video from the set of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace for you to watch that features George Lucas telling Samuel L. Jackson that he might get a purple lightsaber in the movie. I don’t know how I’ve never seen this video until know, but Star Wars fans should enjoy it! It’s such a great and candid moment between the two talents.
Jackson begins by saying, “I’m trying to figure out who we got to talk to about your lightsaber color.” Lucas then goes on to say, “Good guys are green and blue, bad guys are red. That’s just the way it works.” The actor responds, “No purple lightsaber?” And that’s when George Lucas says that he might get purple, and Jackson flashes that big ol’ smile of his!
