Watch the New INTERSTELLAR Trailer

This new Interstellar trailer, previously screened during Christopher Nolan and Matthew McConaughey’s surprise appearance at Comic-Con, gives us a much better look at the movie than the previous trailer, revealing the massive scale of the film and showing us what the interstellar part of the movie will look like. Also, whereas the first trailer focused almost entirely on McConaughey, this trailer showcases Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway a bit more. It also gives us a better idea of exactly how screwed humanity is if they remain on Earth. The tagline says, “Mankind was born on Earth. It was never meant to die here.” It’s pretty clear from this that mankind will die if it remains on Earth. To paraphrase the Dylan Thomas poem Michael Caine quotes in the trailer, it’s time to rage against the dying of the light.

The script was directed by Nolan from a script he co-wrote with his brother Jonathan Nolan. Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn, Casey Affleck, Topher Grace, David Oyelowo, Wes Bentley, Matt Damon, and John Lithgow also star. Interstellar will be in theaters November 7.
