Watch the Super Weird First 4 Minutes of ADVENTURE TIME: DISTANT LANDS
HBO Max has shared the first four minutes of Adventure Time: Distant Lands, which tells a story that puts the focus on the lovable robot BMO as a conquering hero!
The first episode of the series is titled “BMO,” and it centers on “a doomed alien world on the brink of destruction.” BMO will be the sheriff that crashes into town to save it. BMO is such a silly, fun, and cute character, and it’s great to see that they are giving him this grand adventure to embark on.
This first clip is wonderfully weird as it shows a comet get swallowed by a giant space monster who then poops it out as a sun with a strange being in it. BMO proceeds to sing a song about potatoes and the mysteries of the cosmos. They BMO’s ship is damaged by a meteor shower, you’ll have to watch to see what happens next, but as you’ll see, things take a trippy and strange turn of events.

Return to the Land of Ooo and beyond in Adventure Time: Distant Lands. Based on the animated series Adventure Time created by Pendleton Ward and executive produced by Adam Muto, these four breakout specials explore the unseen corners of the world with characters both familiar and brand new. The first of these specials is BMO, which follows the lovable little robot on a new adventure. When there’s a deadly space emergency in the farthest reaches of the galaxy, there’s only one hero to call, and it’s probably not BMO. Except that this time it is!
Adventure Time: Distant Lands lands on HBO Max on June 25th.
