Watch the Super Weird First Trailer for SONIC THE HEDGEHOG
Paramount Pictures has dropped the first trailer for their upcoming Sonic The Hedgehog film, and if you haven’t been impressed by anything you’ve seen up to this point, there’s a good chance that this trailer isn’t going to impress you either.
This movie looks super weird, and it’s hard to get past the terrible character design for Sonic. You’d think that after all the crappy CG animated live-action hybrid movies that have been made over the years, the team behind this would avoid all the terrible mistakes that those films made. I guess not.
Who knows, maybe some of you will enjoy what you see in this trailer, maybe the kids will like it! The trailer also offers us our first good look at Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik. Here’s the synopsis:
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
