Prisons are Online Portals in The Trailer For This Sci-Fi Thriller DIVISION 19

Division 19 won the Critics’ Award at Fantasporto Film Festival, and Suzie Halewood won Best Director at the Boston Science Fiction Film Festival 2018 for her work on the film. Now, everyone else will be able to watch this dystopian thriller as it will be available in theaters and digital this April. The film stars Linus Roache and Alison Doody in the following story:

In the future, prisons have been turned into online portals where paying subscribers get to vote on what felons eat, watch, wear and who they fight. Panopticon TV is so successful it is about to be rolled out to a whole new town. When the world’s most downloaded felon escapes, the authorities set a trap to reel him in. The bait is his little brother who has so far managed to avoid detection.

The other cast members include L. Scott Caldwell, Jamie Draven, Clarke Peters, Will Rothhaar, and Lotte Verbeek. In addition to directing the film, Halewood also wrote it. Check out the trailer for Division 19 below, and it will be available starting April 5.
