Watch the Trailer for the New DIMENSION 20: A STARSTRUCK ODYSSEY Based on the STARSTRUCK Comics
Starstruck is a sci-fi comic series from Elaine Lee and Michael Wm Kaluta. It will also be the main setting for the next season of the tabletop RPG show Dimension 20 with Dimension 20: A Starstruck Odyssey.
The new 18-episode season will premiere its first episode on January 12, 2022, via Dropout.tv and have new episodes weekly. Brennan Lee Mulligan will be the Game Master for the season with the cast being rounded out by Emily Axford as Sundry Sidney, Ally Beardsley as Margaret Encino, Brian Murphy as Big Barry Syx, Zac Oyama as Norman “The Skipper” Nakamori, Siobhan Thompson as Riva, and Lou Wilson as Gunthrie “Gunnie” Miggles-Rashbax.
The Dimension 20 team has said that you do not have to be familiar with Starstruck to enjoy the show although there will be some references and easter eggs that fans will enjoy. It also just so happens that IDW is issuing a special reprint of the entire series in February 2022.
Inspired by the groundbreaking sci-fi comic series Starstruck by Elaine Lee and Michael Wm Kaluta, Dimension 20: A Starstruck Odyssey takes place in a far-flung sector of a chaotic galaxy still reeling from the collapse of a wicked dictatorship. Amidst the chaos, we meet the rough ‘n rowdy ‘n deeply-in-debt crew of The Red Hot, a hot dog-shaped spaceship, as they fight to survive, combat injustice, and try to earn a few credits along the way.
A Starstruck Odyssey will utilize the Star Wars 5e ruleset and this looks like it’ll be a lot of fun. Instead of physical miniatures, the team opted for the virtual system through TaleSpire and I’m interested to see how that fares. Are you excited for this brand new adventure?
