Watch: Tom Hiddleston Sings in First Clip From I SAW THE LIGHT
Tom Hiddleston may be best known as Loki from the Marvel movies, and while he's great in those films, those who only know him as the shunned brother of Thor are missing out on seeing the actor continue to extend his range. His next few projects include a gothic horror movie (Crimson Peak), an action adventure film (Kong: Skull Island), and a psychological social drama (High-Rise), but before all of that, the English actor is transforming into the Alabama-born country music superstar Hank Williams in a film called I Saw The Light.
Hiddleston took to Twitter to share the first clip of the movie, which features him showing off his pipes singing the classic "Move It On Over," his first major hit record. I Saw The Light plays at the Toronto International Film Festival tomorrow before coming to theaters on November 27th. Marc Abraham wrote and directed, while Elizabeth Olsen and Bradley Whitford co-star.
I SAW THE LIGHT, the story of the legendary country western singer Hank Williams, who in his brief life created one of the greatest bodies of work in American music. The film chronicles his meteoric rise to fame and its ultimately tragic effect on his health and personal life.
