Watch Tom Holland's Spider-Man Screen Test For CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR
Tom Holland ended up being a great choice to take on the role of Spider-Man. I’ve enjoyed everything that he’s done with the character so far, and fans are excited to see where the future of the franchise ends up taking him.
Holland made his big debut as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, and now you can watch the audition and screen test that the actor did for Marvel that ended up landing him the role. He obviously impressed the hell out of everyone. Spider-Man: Homecoming executive producer Eric Carroll said:
"Any time you're going to cast a role as big as Spider-Man, there's a huge search involved. Sarah Finn and her team watched more than 7,500 tapes."
This is an audition which Holland sent in digitally, taping it on his own with the help of The Punisher star Jon Bernthal.
Holland was quickly thrown into screen tests with some of the other actors from the franchise like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans and the rest is history.
