WATCHMEN Series Creator Damon Lindelof is Interested in Developing Marvel and STAR WARS Projects

Damon Lindelof, the man who gave us Lost, The Leftovers, and Watchmen, is interested in jumping into a couple of big film properties and developing projects for them. Those franchises include Marvel and Star Wars.

When talking about Marvel Studios with Fandom, Lindelof explained why working with them is appealing to him, saying:

"I think that doing something in the Marvel universe, anywhere in the Marvel Universe, would be really potentially exciting for me, especially as they start to get a little bit more experimental. Some of the things that I’ve seen for WandaVision for example, just feel like, 'OK, now we’re getting somewhere.' Particularly in a television space."

Lindelof also opened up about wanting to take a crack at Star Wars, but not until after some time has passed on the most current films, so he can’t be blamed for screwing it up:

"[At] some point, but certainly not in the immediate future, I feel like I would love to do something in the 'Star Wars' universe. Maybe a decade from now when I would no longer be blamed for ruining it. That would be a hoot."

I really think Lindelof is a talented writer and I loved what he did for The Leftovers and Watchmen. Yeah, the guy has been involved with some stinkers, but he has proved that he can create some great stories. I’d totally be open to seeing him develop projects for Marvel and Star Wars. What about you?
