WayForward Releases New Trailer And Story Details For RIVER CITY GIRLS 2

It’s the world against Misako and Kyoko in River City Girls 2 and we have a new trailer to prove it. WayForward has released a new trailer for their upcoming game that includes some new story details. Here’s the official synopsis:

Crime lord Sabu breaks out of prison to avenge his daughter Sabuko's humiliating defeat at the hands of Misako and Kyoko in the first River City Girls. He immediately seizes control of River City and makes life miserable for the heroines, kicking them out of school and turning the town into a lawless battlezone. Sabu's efforts to restore his family name are aided by his snarky adopted son Ken (previously seen in River City Girls Zero) and an army of underworld hoodlums led by tech expert Tsuiko, strength-enhancing chef Primo, and magic-wielding witch Blaire. Sabu's dominance is all but assured — will Misako, Kyoko, and their allies be able to fight back? More importantly, will they be able to travel across town to buy the latest hit video game??

Fortunately for Misako and Kyoko, there will be four player co op mode available with six characters to choose from: Misako, Kyoko, Riki, Kunio, Provie, and Marian. There will be more combos, weapons, and new elemental attacks to inflict extra damage. And with original River City Girls composer Megan McDuffee returning, we are sure to have an amazing soundtrack to play along with. Still no official release date, but preorders for the physical copies will be available soon with Limited Run Games. I loved the first River City Girls, everything is really well done from design, controls, music, and of course the voice acting. This has been one of my most anticipated new games coming out, so I’m very excited to see some of the fun new stuff this trailer reveals. Check it out and let me know what you think.
