WB's Live Action ATTACK ON TITAN Film will be Helmed By The Director of Stephen King's IT
Warner Bros. is moving forward with their live-action adaptation of the hit manga/anime Attack on Titan! They’ve just hired Andy Muschietti, the director of Stephen King’s IT, to helm the film!
I’m sure this news will get some fans excited. I personally think that Muschietti is a great choice. I loved what he did with IT and I think that he’ll do some awesome things with bringing Attack on Titans to the big screen.
Attack on Titan was written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, and it has become one of the most popular properties to come out of Japan in recent years.
The story is set in a world in which humanity lives in cities surrounded by enormous walls protecting themselves from gigantic humanoid creatures that are referred to as Titans. It’s seriously a great story. Combine that with some big budget VFX work, this movie could be totally awesome!
If you haven’t watch the anime, which is currently in its third season, I suggest you check it out! There’s been some crazy and surprising twists and turns to the story that I didn’t see coming!
David Heyman (Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts) is producing the film with Masi Oka (Mega Man) and Andy’s sister Barbara Muschietti (It, Mama).
What do you think about Andy Muschietti directing Attack on Titan? Do you think he’ll do it justice?
