We May See Characters From THE MANDALORIAN Get Their Own Spinoff Shows on Disney+

Star Wars fans have loved what Lucasfilm delivered for the first season of The Mandalorian and we all can’t wait to see how the story of the Mando and The Child continues in the upcoming second season.

According to Disney CEO Bob Iger, there might be even more Mandalorian series awesomeness on the way! During the Walt Disney Company’s Fiscal First Quarter 2020 Financial Results Conference Call, Iger teased that we might actually see some spinoff shows that focus on other characters that have been and will be introduced in the series. Iger said:

“The priority in the next few years is television, with The Mandalorian season 2 coming in October, and then more coming from The Mandalorian thereafter, including the possibility of – infusing it with more characters and the possibility of taking those characters in their own direction in terms of series.”

Sounds to me like Lucasfilm and The Mandalorian creative team, led by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, are definitely planning some big things with a few of the characters from the series. From a business standpoint, it makes complete sense to build more shows around some of the characters from this show. From a fan standpoint, I’m excited to see who these characters are!

As long as they have a talented and solid creative team involved that knows how to tell great stories, then the fans will continue to watch and support the franchise.

What characters from the series would you want to see get their own spinoff show? How many of you want Baby Yoda to get his own show?

Just to remind you, there’s also a Rogue One prequel show in development that focuses on Cassian Andor and an  Obi-Wan Kenobi TV show with Ewan McGregor.
