Webtoon's Popular Comic LORE OLYMPUS is Being Adapted into an Animated Series
If you’ve ever used Webtoon, you’ve at least heard of Lore Olympus. It is always the most popular webcomic on the platform and while I haven’t read it, my friends have said it’s pretty amazing. If you’ve read it, you’ll probably be excited about the news that the comic is being turned into an animated series. Deadline broke the news at the end of last week that Webtoon and The Jim Henson Company have partnered up to bring Rachel Smythe’s comic to life. The animated series will be targeted at young adults. If you don’t know anything about the comic, here’s the official synopsis:
“Witness what the gods do…after dark. The friendships and the lies, the gossip and the wild parties, and of course, forbidden love. Because it turns out, the gods aren’t so different from us after all, especially when it comes to their problems. Stylish and immersive, this is one of mythology’s greatest stories — The Taking of Persephone — as it’s never been told before.”
