WEDNESDAY Creators Talk About What Fans Can Expect From the Show's Third Season

Both parts of Wednesday Season 2 have now been released, and fans are looking forward to what the future holds for the series.

The second season made good on the promise of the show’s beginning, bringing forth solid storytelling and intriguing characters that lead us forward in the world of the Addams Family. This season was even better than the last, and Season 3 sounds like it will be just as great.

Series creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar laid out their plans in a recent Tudum blog, where Millar said they’re looking to “Make it the best season of [the show] we possibly can, and continue digging deeper into our characters.”

They went on to tease some of the things viewers can expect in Season 3. They teased that viewers should look to the Season 2 finale, which lays “a nice breadcrumb that leads audiences to wonder…what the new adventure for Wednesday will be.”

Things ended with Nevermore Academy shutting down, and we saw Wednesday heading North with Fester and Thing to track Enid after she transformed into an alpha wolf to save Wednesday from being buried alive.

That’s not the only difficult thing our title character has to face coming up. We also saw Wednesday’s aunt Ophelia, who she previously had a vision about, sitting in a room in Grandmama Hester Frump’s house, with an ominous blood-written threat about Wednesday’s imminent death.

What is coming for Wednesday? Millar and Gough didn’t say, but they promised viewers would learn more of the Addams’ extended family. More light will also be shed on Nevermore.

Millar and Gough called the show “such an alchemy of writing, directing, acting, crew, streamer, studio, and fans. We remain grateful and excited to continue this journey and tell these stories with all of our partners.”

We don’t know when Wednesday Season 3 will be released yet, but stay tuned for updates as the series moves forward.
