Weird Al Tells the Truth About His Relationship With Madonna as His Biopic WEIRD: THE AL YANKOVIC STORY Is Released

Weird: The Al Yankovic Story has officially been released on Roku, and the fans are loving it. It has been getting great reviews, and it looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun, with Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) in the lead role, although “biopic” was clearly a loose concept for the movie’s outline.

For fans of the musician Weird Al, we are aware that Al Yankovic’s life has been pretty low-key. Aside from super-star status, Al has flown under the radar as far as scandal and salaciousness goes, and he is truly a beloved and sweet guy that people only have positive things to say about.

So the movie probably fibbed a bit when it comes to the details, and Al Yankovic himself has set he record straight when it comes to telling the truth about his relationship with Madonna, who is featured heavily in the movie, and played by Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld).

Yankovic explained on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon:

"Well there are a few little nuggets of truth sprinkled throughout the biopic. The only time I ever met – Our relationship is platonic, by the way – The only time I actually met her was in 1985, I talked to her for maybe like 45 seconds backstage. So That's the extent of the relationship."

So there you have it. It’s going to be fun to see how this movie makes a wild tale out of Yankovic’s life. He’s such a funny guy. I can’t wait to watch it! Weird: The Al Yankovic Story is currently available to stream on Roku.
