Wesley Snipes is Back and Hunting Down Aliens in The Trailer For THE RECALL

Remember Wesley Snipes? He used to do stuff like make movies. In his long career, he's hunt down vampires and future cops. Well, he's BACK BITCHES! And this time he's hunting aliens!

In his new film, The Recall, Snipes stars alongside five young actors, the names of which you'd probably never recognize unless you know them personally or you are a super fan (stalker). Long story short, Snipes' character is a hunter that has knowledge of an alien invasion and it's up to him to save Earth from them. One exciting thing is that the film will also be released with a VR experience.

The Recall centers on a group of friends vacationing at a remote cabin lake house when aliens attack Earth. Charlie (Jedidah Goodacre) and his friends Brendan (R.J. Mitte), Annie (Laura Bilgeri), Rob (Niko Pepaj), and Kara (Hannah Rose May) are forced to rely on an eccentric and mysterious hunter (Wesley Snipes) with special knowledge of the attack, explaining this day has been prophesied for years.

I'll be honest, when I first saw this trailer, I instantly thought I was watching a sequel of some sort of Cabin in the Woods type movie. The beginning has a bunch of teenagers driving to a cabin, who stop at a gas station only to be freaked out by a strange man. I'm tempted to say that the gas station might even be the same one from Cabin in the Woods. It's that visually similar. Don't get me wrong, the movie looks interesting, but some of the special effects look a little too "special" if you catch my drift. The trailer is still fun and it looks like something I would actually have fun watching with a bunch of friends, if for nothing else, to see Wesley Snipes kick some ass again. Check out the trailer below.

The Recall will open on June 2nd across select Barco Escape theaters in the U.S., along with the virtual reality short The Recall Abduction available to buy on all VR platforms. The movie will then be released in select 2D theaters and VOD on June 16th.
