Weta Workshop Releases Awesome Behind-The-Scenes Video For THE CREATOR

Weta Workshop based in New Zealand has released a very cool behind-the-scenes video showcasing the VFX work that they created for director Gareth Edwards’ sci-fi epic The Creator. This was a great movie, but it didn’t quite make a big splash at the box office.

Regardless, the work that Weta Workshop did on the film is incredible. Remember, this is the same effects company behind all the Lord of the Rings movies. They designed and created, pretty much, every futuristic costume, weapon, military outfit, and other specialty prop pieces for the movie.

The video came with the following note: “Wētā Workshop designed and manufactured the lead character and hero military costumes and specialty props for The Creator. We approached the design and manufacture knowing the film’s crew needed to be light on their feet, leading to a modular design philosophy where nearly everything was multipurpose. The result was specially crafted pieces that could be mixed and matched to create a series of specialty costumes.”

In the film, "Amid a future sci-fi war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence, Joshua, a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife, is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war—and mankind itself.”

The Creator is already available on 4K Blu-ray.
