Before Ian McKellen took on the role of Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings films, director Peter Jackson offered the part to Sean Connery, who turned it down. That would have been so weird to see. It's hard to imagine anyone other than McKellen playing the character, but this animated video created by Lee Daniels for Mashed gives us a silly, hyper-exaggerated idea of what Jackson would not have done with the character.
