What If STAR WARS Characters Played SUPER SMASH? Episodes I-III
Anakin and Obi-Wan run into the large cave to see Duko about to leave, “Stop right there Duko!” He turns around holding a Nintendo Switch, “I never thought you’d come all this way…to be beaten.”
Again, we are here for our second installment of what Star Wars characters would choose to play as in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. We know this list is totally subjective and up to opinion, so don’t hate us. Instead, let us know what we got wrong and who should have who on the Smash roster!
Anakin Skywalker - Meta Knight
Meta Knight is always throwing himself into battle, it is his move set and style to just run in there flailing his sword around. Also, he seems like the kid who never stopped wearing heavy eyeliner to school. Both of these remind us so much of the arrogant, know-it-all that is Anakin from the first trilogy. He would always try to be something extra and get all the attention possible from everyone around him. I could see them both shopping at Hot Topic any given Saturday.
Obi-Wan Kenobi - Pokemon Trainer
One of the most defining characteristics of Obi-Wan is his ability to keep his cool and stay balanced. This is one of the reasons that the Pokemon Trainer would be a great pick: three different Pokemon with very different abilities, movements, and attacks. The Pokemon Trainer has always also been so straight forward and uncomplicated morally, always doing good and loving creatures, very much like Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Padme Amidala - Zero Suit Samus
Who needs armor and crazy gadgets? Who will happily shoot the crap out of something and isn’t afraid to get their hand dirty while beating up an opponent? Both Padme and Zero Suit Samus need no man’s help (and often overshadow the men) when defending themselves or fighting the baddies. Confident, powerful and courageous? That is the core of these women.
Darth Maul - Mr. Game & Watch
Yes, I know Mr. Game & Watch is a more goofy and silly character, but Darth Maul would for sure pick him. Darth Maul would love how ridiculously strong he is, the weird movements and the fact that he doesn’t talk. Also, both of them love their all black and brooding attire.
Count Dooku - Wolf
When we think arrogance and evil it is kind of a mix up between Wolf and Bowser, but we went with Wolf because of his elegant movement which resonates well with Count Duko’s style and usage of form. Duko doesn’t hit often, but when he does, it hits and hurts, a lot like Wolf.
Qui-Gon Jinn - Marth
Qui-Gon is a master swordsman, and his morals and thoughts are always on the side of good. Marth is the choice for him because he is a no-nonsense fighter. He has an “I have a sword, and I’ll use it” kind of attitude, which seems to fit well with the noble, simple, and powerful Marth.
Yoda - Pichu
Yes, I understand that Pichu is far more energetic and cute than Yoda. However, I bet that Yoda could not resist picking this unassuming cute ball of yellow to beat the tar out of his opponents with lightning-fast speeds and lots of jumps.
General Grievous - Olimar
Leader of a disposable army? Uses multi-colored weapons to barrage opponents? General Grievous would for sure choose this out-of-place warrior and commander of the Pikman, Olimar. They both are very different from anyone around them and have their own unique approach to defeating enemies.
Mace Windu - Ryu
As one of the Jedi Masters on the Jedi Council, we see him be a wise, super powerful and refined fighter. Ryu matches his profound knowledge of combat and steadfast power. His style is simple and strong, just like our white gi wearing martial arts master.
Jar Jar Binks - Duck Hunt
When we see someone playing Duck Hunt, they either don’t know what they are doing, want to be silly or just picked it randomly. I feel like Jar Jar would end up picking it by accident, not know how to use the controller, drop it, and Duck Hunt would get selected.
