Whoa... This New Trailer For THE HANDMAID'S TALE is Filled With Rage and Desperation

"Is this what freedom looks like?"

Hulu has released a new trailer for The Handmaid's Tale Season 2 and this next chapter of the story looks wickedly intense! There's a lot to take in with this new trailer and it's filled with so much rage and desperation. The first season left with June/Offred (Elisabeth Moss) sitting in the back of a police van headed to safety and judging from this trailer it looks like she's going to be ok, as she presses forward with defiance.

Season 2 will follow Offred who "reckons with the consequences of a dangerous decision while haunted by memories from her past and the violent beginnings of Gilead." This is a powerful series that needs to be seen, so if you haven't watched season one yet, do yourself a favor and check it out.

Adapted from the classic novel by Margaret Atwood, The Handmaid's Tale is the story of life in the dystopia of Gilead, a totalitarian society in what was formerly the United States. Facing environmental disasters and a plunging birthrate, Gilead is ruled by a twisted fundamentalism in its militarized ‘return to traditional values'. As one of the few remaining fertile women, Offred (Elisabeth Moss) is a Handmaid in the Commander’s household, one of the caste of women forced into sexual servitude as a last desperate attempt to repopulate the world. In this terrifying society, Offred must navigate between Commanders, their cruel Wives, domestic Marthas, and her fellow Handmaids – where anyone could be a spy for Gilead – all with one goal: to survive and find the daughter that was taken from her.

The series is based on the novel by Margaret Atwood and developed as series by producer and writer Bruce Miller. The series also stars Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, O-T Fagbenle and Amanda Brugel. It was also announced that Marisa Tomei would be making an appearance this season.

The first two episodes of the second season will stream on Wednesday, April 25th. Subsequent episodes will be released every Wednesday only on Hulu.
