Whoopi Goldberg Says Disney is Planning a SISTER ACT Reboot
I have never seen the Sister Act films, but I have seen it performed on stage. I first went in not expecting much, and now I freaking love it. If you haven’t seen it, I recommend it and I’ve heard the movies are fantastic. Since the release of Sister Act 2 in 1993, people have been wondering if we’d ever see Sister Act 3 and now, Whoopi Goldberg has provided an update.
“So we’ve been all over Disney begging, and they’ve decided that they’re going to go in a different direction with ‘Sister Act.’ So it won’t be ‘Sister Act 3’, it will be a brand new rendition of ‘Sister Act’ - and I guess I’ll walk through a scene, and that’s how they’ll say I was part of it.”
I’m not sure how I feel about this. I struggle with reboots. I find them unnecessary most of the time and while I love the idea of seeing the story of Sister Act again, I don’t think I’m necessarily excited for it. You can see her whole interview below, the Sister Act question comes up around 3:30.
