Robert Downey Jr. Plays Four Characters in Wild and Intense Trailer for HBO's THE SYMPATHIZER
A wild and intense trailer has been released for the HBO limited series The Sympathizer, featuring lead actor Robert Downey Jr., who plays four characters in the show and executive produces, as well as Hoa Xuande, Fred Nguyen Khan, Toan Le, Ky Duyen, and Sandra Oh.
Co-showrunners Park Chan-wook and Don McKellar also executive produce the show, as well as co-write, and Park Chan-wook also directed Episodes 1-3.
“Based on Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name, The Sympathizer is an espionage thriller and cross-culture satire about the struggles of a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy during the final days of the Vietnam War and his resulting exile in the United States.”
