A wild new trailer has been released for the Apple TV+ anthology series Roar, which tells several different stories that all have a strange twist. The star-studded cast includes Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies, Being the Ricardos), Oscar-nominee Cynthia Erivo (Bad Times at the El Royale, Harriet), Emmy-nominee Betty Gilpin (GLOW, The Tomorrow War), Alison Brie (Community, GLOW), and Emmy-winner Merritt Wever (Nurse Jackie, Unbelievable).

The series comes from GLOW creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, and it’s based on a book of short stories by Cecelia Ahern. Roar is a collection of eight half-hour, genre-bending episodes, told from a uniquely female point of view.

This looks like such a weird and interesting show of feminist fables. I’m definitely intrigued. Check out the trailer below, and watch Roar on Apple TV+ beginning on April 15th.
