HBO Max has released a new trailer for its original sci-fi dark comedy series Made For Love. It stars Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs) as Hazel Green who embarks on a wild adventure as she fights her way out of a relationship with her husband after he implants a chip in her brain that allows their two minds to meld.

Made for Love is an adaptation based on the tragicomic novel of the same name by Alissa Nutting. The series follows Hazel Green, “a thirty-something woman on the run after 10 years in a suffocating marriage to an unstable, needy, possibly sociopathic tech billionaire. Soon she discovers that her husband has already implanted a revolutionary monitoring device – the Made for Love– in her brain, allowing him to track her, watch her, and know her thoughts and feelings as she tries to stay alive.”

It’s also described as a “darkly absurd and cynically poignant story of love and divorce.”  The series looks like it’ll be a wild ride filled with madcap antics and thrills as we follow Milioti on her harrowing journey.

The supporting cast includes Billy Magnussen, Ray Romano, Noma Dumezweni, Augusto Aguilera, as well as Caleb Foote, Dutch Johnson, and Raymond Lee. Christina Lee is the showrunner of the eight-episode series and co-writes with Alissa Nutting, Dean Bakopoulos, and Patrick Somerville.

Made For Love will start streaming on April 1st on HBO Max.
